This Laphroaig 19 Year Old was distilled on Islay in 1999 and matured in a single sherry hogshead cask before being bottled in 2018 by Or Sileis for their Arthurian Tales series. It’s a complex and delicious whisky that combines all of the typical traits of Laphroaig whisky (peat smoke, sea salt, earthiness) with notes imparted by the sherry cask, including dried fruits, chocolate raisins and sticky dates. A wonderful whisky of which only 295 bottles were produced.
