This brilliant Caol Ila single cask whisky was distilled in 2008 and matured in a top quality first-fill sherry butt for 13 years before being bottled by legendary indie bottler, Gordon & MacPhail. It brings a deep, rich fruitiness to the table that marries perfectly with cinnamon spice, bitter dark chocolate, subtle oak and light peat smoke that builds throughout. It’s a complex but perfectly balanced dram and one that any fan of Caol Ila should add to their collection. Only 707 bottles of this one were produced.
