This brilliant Caol Ila 10 Year Old was distilled at the famous Islay distillery in 2009 and matured in a single bourbon barrel before being bottled and released by The Maltman in 2019 at a cask strength of 57.1%. It brings hints of citrus fruits, freshly cut grass and gentle smoke that builds in the background, along with fresh sea breeze, lemon zest and subtle spices. The label features an artistic depiction of a women sitting were her back to the artist, holding a whisky in her in hand. It’s a beautiful piece of art and fortunately the whisky inside matches up to it in every way – it’s elegant, refined and stands apart from the crowd. With only 184 bottles produced, this one is collectable.
