Description
A truly outstanding release from Campbeltown’s Springbank distillery that was created using 65% bourbon cask and 35% sherry cask matured whisky that had been aged for at least 12 years, before being bottled at a cask strength of 57.1%. As usual, Springbank have delivered in terms of quality here, with this smooth, well-balanced dram bringing buttered toast, sea breeze, honeycomb and chocolate brownie on the nose, before blueberries, seaweed, orange peel and gentle peat smoke arrive on the palate. It’s a truly fascinating whisky that is hugely popular around Scotland and beyond. Well worth trying.
