About Strathisla
For the fan of whisky history, Strathisla is a bit special, being the oldest continuously operating distillery in Scotland. It was founded in 1786 on the banks of the river Isla by George Taylor and Alexander Milne and unlike almost all other distilleries, it has never been closed down as such, although it suffered a burn in 1879. It survived two world wars, a great depression and prohibition, obviously it must have done something right all these years.
Famous whiskies are made at this Speyside distillery, including Chival Regal, in fact many people know it simply as the Chival Regal distillery.
About Signatory Vintage
Signatory Vintage Scotch is one of the most discerning independent bottlers of Scotch in the world. The company bottles one cask at a time, capitalizing on the unique color and flavor characteristics of each individual cask. All-natural malts are sourced from the best distilleries in Scotland, selecting the best single batches and bottling only the finest casks within those batches. The resulting “single, single, single malt” is about as exclusive as it gets.
