Description

This outstanding single malt whisky was distilled at Linkwood in 1980 and aged for 40 years  Before being bottled by an anonymous collector through Gordon & Macphail for their private collection. Unfortunately, only 193 bottles were ever produced, making this particular expression quite rare. On the palate, light citrus aromas turn to a sweet finish of almond and cinnamon, with  hints of poached pear, soft molasses and a burst of lemon acidity. The finish begins with rich oak before morphing into dry smoke.
