Glenfarclas Family Cask 40 Year, only one of 473 bottles of this well-aged Glenfarclas whisky! Distilled in 1971, then bottled in 2011 by Silver Seal. Rich amber colour, sherry, cherries, small red fruits. Hints of wood, wax and sultanas. Full bodied and creamy. Sweet with sherry, red fruits, sultanas, wood. Long, dry and spicy, very complex and well balance. A winter warmer or to be paired with foie gras, blue cheese such a stilton, game such as venison, panna cotta or chocolate with high acidity.
