What’s included?
Glendronach 20 Year Old (1994)
This Glendronach 20 Year Old was distilled in the Scottish highlands in 1994 before being matured in a Pedro Ximenez puncheon and then hand-picked and bottled by the Private Barrel Company, specifically for the South African market. Only 688 bottles were produced and each of them features a classic style hand-written label. Beautiful and collectible liquid.
Glenrothes 18 Year Old Soleo
This Glenrothes 18 Year Old is the latest addition to the distillery’s popular ‘Soleo’ range. The range was named after the process of sun-drying grapes for sherry production in Jerez, Spain, and this dram features sherry matured whisky at its core.
It starts with sweet vanilla followed up by some light citrus fruits and poached pears. Then comes the sherry with cocoa powder, rich fruits, blackberries and a little kick of spice. The finish is long and lasting and as rich as the palate. On the whole, it’s fruity and full-bodied whisky with plenty to explored. Our favourite Glenrothes release of the year thus far.
