Description
This elegant and delicious Dictador XO Perpetual Rum was created in Cartagena, Colombia, as is the case with all Dictador rums. It is made from the fermentation of virgin sugar cane honey distilled partly in copper alembic and also in a steel continuous column in order to achieve a delicious medium bodied spirit. It is then matured in pre-used oak barrels that previously housed bourbon and these impart an incredible array of notes on to the already charismatic spirit. The master-blenders then work their magic to create something that is not only smooth and flavourful, but also extremely memorable and moreish.
Intricate aromas of roasted honey, Colombian coffee, dark chocolate and rich oak are apparent on the nose before smooth fudge, sticky toffee and more freshly roasted coffee make themselves known on the palate. As if that wasn’t enough, the finish is long with light oak and gentle vanilla flavours lasting until your next sip.
It’s a brilliant creation that has picked up a number of prestigious awards at spirits competitions around the world. A must try for rum-lovers.
