Description
Deanston Edition #2 Discovery continues the adventurous spirit of the Deanston Transformation Series, which began in 2022. Launched in early 2023, Discovery is the second release in the series, crafted using a unique three-cask blending technique that further showcases Deanston’s dedication to innovation. After more than 13 years of maturation in three exceptional sherry casks, the result is a single malt whisky of remarkable complexity and balance.
The whisky’s journey begins with new make spirit aged in three distinct sherry casks. The Oloroso sherry hogshead imparts rich layers of depth, offering aromatic notes of dried fruits and spices. Pedro Ximenez hogsheads contribute sweet berry jam and delicate spices, while the final Oloroso butt creates harmony between the two, introducing fresh citrus undertones and a waxy texture that lingers intriguingly on the palate.
Deanston Edition #2 Discovery is a pure sherry cask single malt that beautifully balances richness and freshness.
