Bunnahabhain 30 year is one of the oldest Bunnahabhain releases you’ll find, this independent bottling was distilled on December 5th, 1980 then matured in a sherry cask for over 30 years. The special vatting of two casks was bottled at natural strength of 40.2% yielding a total outturn of 510 bottles. The whisky is non-chill filtered with no added coloring. Experience a premium, well-aged Islay whisky!
About Bunnahabhain
Bunnahabhain is one of the milder Islay malts, with peated malts only produced for a short period each year. The standard style of this whisky would be an unpeated sherried dram, with notes of sweet dried fruits and a chocolatey smooth sweetness. It has a full range of age, and non age statement, whiskies being released from the distillery include the Toiteach which is a peated version, and a range of travel retail drams.
About Rest & Be Thankful
“Rest and Be Thankful” was the inscription on a stone placed by soldiers at the top of Glen Croe in 1753. The climb through the valley is so long and steep that it was traditional for travelers to rest at this point and be thankful for having completed the climb.
