This excellent Bunnahabhain 15 Year Old is quite different from most whiskies you will find from the famous Islay distillery – it’s heavily peated. Most Bunnahabhain whiskies are known to be lightly peated, unlike expressions from many of the other distilleries dotted around Scotland’s most popular whisky island.
Matured in hogshead casks, before being bottled by Signatory Vintage in 2013, it brings citrus fruits, orange peel, sweet oak and gentle vanilla, all backed up by a good helping of peat smoke that builds as you sip. With only 608 bottles produced, it’s unique, collectable and ultimately delicious.
