The limited edition Big Peat “The Judo Edition” is a blended malt whisky from Scotland and inspired by the much loved martial art that originated in Japan. It is a remarkable marriage of matured single malts, only from Islay. Big Peat includes Ardbeg, Bowmore, Caol Ila and Port Ellen. This is offered to you colorless, non-chill filtered edition of Ardbeg, bottled in March 2019 at an alcohol strength of 50%.
Big Peat “The Judo Edition” bottle brings a sooty, big, beachy oceanic and phenolic selection of malts. Inside is packed with unique recipe of classic ashy, leathery, phenolic charm complemented by salty character. The Big Peat’s blend of malt is from the sweetness from Caol Ila, the fruitness of Bowmore, the medicinal quality of Ardbeg and the earthy tone from Port Ellen. Islay’s distilleries are famous for their character of peaty, smoky, ashy, beach bonfires, coal dust and tar. This is only distilled on where the Douglas Laing family directors hail, the Scotland’s whisky island of Islay.
