This superb Balvenie 18 Year Old was distilled at the world famous Speyside Distillery before being matured for 18 whole years, including a finishing period in a Pedro Ximenez cask. It brings soft notes on the nose, with citrus fruits, vanilla and gentle oak marrying in style, before the palate arrives with richer notes of sticky dates, toffee and sweet cinnamon spice. The finish is long and rich, with dark chocolate being the start of the show. A really superb whisky.
