This stunning single cask whisky comes from an unknown Highland distillery. It was distilled in 2007 and distilled in 1st fill Ruby Port Wine Barrique cask before being bottled by Scotch Universe in 2018. The unique maturing period has had profound effects on the whisky, imparting a dark oak colour and lots of rich, fruity notes that dance on the nose and palate, backed up by gentle spices in the background. Bottled at a cask strength of 58.7%, it’s a pure and honest Highland whisky that is well worth trying.
