Description
This single cask Ben Nevis 50 Year Old was distilled at the legendary Highland distillery all the way back in 1966 and matured for half a century before bottling in 2017. The maturation included a finishing period in a Calvados cask that has added distinct notes of sweet apples and subtle hints of pear drops to the otherwise rich, floral and oaky whisky. The expression holds an incredible depth of flavour that will take you several drams to fully explore. With only 100 bottles produced, it’s a rare and iconic Ben Nevis whisky that is incredibly hard to find on today’s market.
