This well-balanced whisky offers the complex flavors that have set apart Dalmore as the de facto standard Highland malt. This release was distilled in 1990 and aged for 25 years before being bottled in 2015 at cask strength 55.50%.
About The Dalmore Distillery
The Dalmore might just be the most legendary distillery in the world, known globally for their award winning Scottish whisky. The Dalmore creates each of it’s whiskies using a combination of different stills, each varying in size to give the whisky a more complex character. After distillation The Dalmore ages each expression in American white oak bourbon casks and exclusive aged sherry casks from Gonzalez Byass. The sherry casks give the whisky a deep copper color and the flavor of crushed almonds, cinnamon, ginger and citrus. The bourbon casks complement the whisky with notes of vanilla, spice, honey and tropical fruits. In some cases selected whiskies are finished in exceptional casks to showcase woods from world-renowned bodegas and wineries.
