Take a deep dive into the world of Japanese manga series with this Speyside-sourced single malt Scotch whisky bottle, Balmenach 32 year old Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045. Produced in 1989 by Balmenach Distillery, aged for 32 years, and then bottled in 2021 with a 44.3% strength. This takes inspiration from the Japanese cyberpunk media property, based on a seinen manga series written and illustrated by Masume Shirow and has been expanded into a range of works such as animation, live-action Hollywood films, and full-length 3DCG.
James McGregor established the Balmenach Distillery, sometimes known as Balminoch, one mile inland from the settlement of Cromdale, in 1824. One of the oldest and most reputable distilleries in Speyside, Balmenach produces what is sometimes referred to as “old-style” whisky.
