This gorgeous single malt was distilled at the Dailuaine distillery in Speyside in 2007 and matured in a sherry butt for around 13 years before bottling in 2020. As a sherry cask single malt this one brings winter berries, slow-stewed fruits, blackberry jam, gentle spices and gentle oaky hints. It’s a smooth and well-balanced expression that delivers a drinking experience to remember, and with only 292 bottles produced, it’s worth acting fast if you want to get your hands on one.
This bottling is a charitable release from the popular bottler that highlights the endangered clouded leopard, attempting to bring about awareness of the majestic animal’s plight. A magnificent, artistic depiction of the animal adorns the front labels and box, making it stand apart from most whiskies in your collection.
